The product that I will review today taking in consideration the editor’s opinions from CNET.com and also the opinions of those who have bought this product is the Archos 101 tablet computer. The starting price of this device is of $267.99. According to CNET.com, this product is available in 8 stores. For example, on RadioShack.com, it costs $349.99, simply by clicking on the See It, you can go directly to the RadioShack.com site from where you can actually buy this product. On buydig.com, you can find the same product for $267.99. This is the site that sells this product for the lowest price. And let's present one more seller and stop, on Kmart you can find this product for $299.99.
The specifications of this product should start with the manufacturer; there are products such as the Galaxy Tab which are not created by a brand name Galaxy, but by Samsung; well, in our case the Archos 101 tablet is created by Archos. Nevertheless, I felt the need to mention this, because I don't know if you knew that. In Europe, for example, this manufacturer is not that known as it is in the United States and I'm pretty sure that the young people which have only heard of Apple and Android, have no idea who Archos is.

The part number of the tablet reviewed by CNET.com is 501594. The screen size of this tablet is of 10.1 inches, the screen being based on the TFT technology. The display resolution is just like the resolution offered by many notebooks: 1024×600. Of course this device supports the Flash memory cards such as microSD and microSDHC. The processor is manufactured by ARM and it is the Cortex A8 model, having a speed of 1 GHz. If you are familiar with the Archos products, you probably know that this is the preferred chipset used by this company for their tablet computers.

I will not mention from now on that the tablet computers use the Wireless technology, because all of them use this technology nowadays. I will only name the standard used by the devices, not the fact that a tablet computer uses or not the Wireless technology. In our case, we have to mention the 802.11b/g/n standard. In the case of the Bluetooth technology, we have to name the 2.1 version plus EDR. This device uses only a front facing camera, it has a microphone and speakers. The Archos 101 doesn't use a GPS receiver. It has a lithium polymer battery and the manufacturer offers one year warranty. The operating system is Android 2.2 and the pre-installed software applications are eBuddy and Deezer.
