Because in my previous article I referred to the fact that I am trying to learn the Japanese language, without a teacher, which to some might seem impossible, I came across an application, which caught my interest, not because of the fact that it is included in the Shopping category or because it presents various types of sushi, which I can’t stand, but because it is related to the Japanese culture. And I want to present it, because I know there are many others like me who just love the Asian culture and who knows, probably they like the sushi meal and dishes.
The Japanese Sushi Guide and Quiz will help you learn both by hearing how the terms are pronunced and by seeing how they are written, 100 tersm which are used in the sushi restaurants. It is a thrilling experience to use this app and after a while to actually go in Japan and practice what you have learned. That is, if you move over the barrier that says the sushi meals are creepy. I can’t eat something that is alive or is in a state where it might be considered alive. This could seem like an offense to the Japanese people that stay with you at the table, so when you decide to go in Japan, you have to be prepared for all sorts of stuff like this.
The app is similar to the Spanish Food Guide, because the terms are included in answers and questions. The questions are provided by the manufacturer of this app and so are the answers, but you will have to select them from a longer or a smaller list with answers. The app includes a dictionary. As far as I can see from the screenshots of the app, there are no photos included, which makes me a bit sad, because you can learn differently and in a better way the Japanese terms, if you actually see the pictures of the dishes.11
