You don't have to get fooled by the people that are saying that if you have the Android operating system created by Android, which is a division of Google or something (it is connected to Google, that's for sure), the rest of the software programs that you install on that Android tablet or smartphone, depending on what you have, should be also developed by Google Android. It is not true; you can install in your device and a software program that you want, just make sure that you will use that program, because if you will not, you will occupy the space in your internal memory compartment for nothing with that application.

For today, I have thought to present an application created for the Android devices, application that is in my opinion more recommended to children. I can see that this application can be downloaded and played, because this is a game, by everyone, but taking into consideration the screenshots that are available online, I believe that this is more an application created for children. The name of this application is Gem Spinner. Not only that it is an app destined to children, but it will allow your children to develop some brain skills, such as the distributive attention. This app costs 2 dollars and it was developed by Tiny Bite Games. Until now this application has received almost 4 stars which is good, taking into consideration that the first time when this application was available on Amazon was on February 9, 2011. In other words, this application is available for more than 6 months on Amazon and since February, almost 100 people have said that this is a good application.

We have been asked to write about an Amazon app created for the Android devices. I had no idea that from the Amazon.com site you can also buy software programs that can be installed in your Android or Apple devices. So today I will not speak about the Amazon Kindle application, as you might expect, but about an application that can be indeed downloaded from the Amazon site, because there will be make a connection between this site and the Android Market. I wanted to say this, because there are some users that believe that the applications created for the Apple devices or for the Android smartphones or tablets can be only downloaded from Apple.com or from Android.com, which is not exactly true. You can download apps as you can see from other sites, for example Amazon.com.

Today I have thought to present Spinballs, an application created by Christian Gross, app that has received on Amazon almost 4 stars. The price of this application is of $2.49. I can see that the first image that you will get on your screen has several options, which is natural, that allow you to start the application, allow you to see how this app can be played, because there is a tutorial that tells you all about it, there is a Highscores option, a Settings option and also Info.

If you will enter Amazon.com, the location where this application is described, besides the screenshots that are available there, you will benefit also of a short video, that has only 1 minute and 12 seconds, that will present you exactly how the things are going if you want to play this app. Basically you have 7 circles that contain other 6 little circles that are differently colored; your job is to rotate those main circles in order for the little circles to be arranged one to another, so that they will form a line made of 3 identical circles. If you manage to combine more than 3 circles at a time, you will receive more points. This is a very good game for children, because it helps them to develop some brain skills. I would definitely recommend this game to my children.

This is basically a match three game, only that you will have to rotate those circles in order to make the little circles to get connected. In a normal match three game, all that you need to do is to move one ball to the left or to the right in order to combine it with the balls that are around it.

Let's present some Android tablets that can be bought from the site named Kmart.com. I will only mention the most important characteristics of the tablet and also their prices. And one more thing (sorry because I have forgotten it); I will mention also the rating obtained by the product that I will name from the persons that have bought the products.

I will start with Archos 28 tablet computer, which obviously has a screen size of 2.8 inches (this can be considered as a smartphone, not necessarily as a tablet computer; nevertheless, it is a tablet), which has a price of $89.99, but until now no one has rated the product. The second is the Velocity Micro Cruz T301 capacitive touchscreen Android tablet that has 7 inches in diagonal and the price of $199.99. This product has been rated and it has 4 stars on Kmart. I suggest you to direct your attention only to the products that have 5 stars. 100 people or 200 people cannot be wrong about a certain product. Ok, we can take into consideration that the producer of a certain product has requested all their family members and friends to say that the product is really good, but no one can have a family of 300 persons, 400 people and more, which by the way, say that we are talking about an excellent product. I did not make any reference to any manufacturer in the world, I'm just saying that I know the behavior of the producers of various items when they want to sell them online.

Another product, which has 3.5 stars, is the ViewSonic 10 Android Wi-Fi gTablet, that has a price of $299.99. Archos is again in the list, with their Archos 32 tablet computer, that has a screen size of 3.2 inches. As you can see the screen size is a little bit larger than the previous model designed by Archos, which was named in our article, only that not even this one can be considered as a tablet computer, simply because the screen is too tiny. But believe it or not this is a mobile Internet device or a tablet computer. The rating of this product is of 3.5 stars and the prices is of $149.99.

A very good tablet computer, which I would recommend always, tablet that I can see it is not rated yet on Kmart (probably because it has a higher price) is the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi HD widescreen Android 3.0 tablet PC, that has a price of $499. In my opinion, this is the best product.

Do you want an application that is capable of running on Android 2.3 operating system? This system is also known as Gingerbread. Don't ask me who chooses the name of the Android operating system versions, all that I can say is that they are very suggestive. The app that I have selected for today is created for the Android 1.50 OS, which means that it works fine on the Android 2.3 systems. There might appear problems when you have Android 1.5 and you want to download an application created for the Android 2.3 operating system. In that situation, probably you can download the app, but you cannot use it.

I will try not to do any mistake when writing the name of this app that I will present now: dxTop Pro: Home Alternative. This app costs $2.99 and it is developed by Access Lane Inc. This app is great if you're looking for a new interface for your Android home screen. As you can see, this is a paid application, but the developers have thought to the people that don't want to pay money for this app, and they have created the Lite version of the app. The app has features like: a flexible navigation system, extensive theme support, great personalization options, full widgets support, 5 different transitions from a home screen to another, the possibility of seeing the home screen images in landscape or portrait, the possibility of setting one of the images, the one that you like most, as a wallpaper, the possibility of accessing the vibration feature from this app, of reading the user’s contact data, of the reading the SMS messages, while you are using this app and many more.

I can say that this application is just like a leather cover that you use for your Android device, for your iPad, for your iPhone, it allows you to use all the ports that are created on the device, not disturbing you in any way when you want to perform a certain operation. This application is exactly like the leather cover to which I have compared it; it allows you to do what ever you want, no matter you have a certain image on the screen or another home screen.

A very new Android tablet computer is manufactured by Lenovo and it runs the Android 3.1 operating system, also known as Honeycomb. This product has been reviewed by many sites, one of them being CNET.com, my source of inspiration for this article. I can see on CNET that this product has a price of $589 .

The exact model that I will review is ThinkPad tablet 1838, that has a 10.1 screen size. The parts number of this product is 183825U. I'm not very interested in the dimensions of this product and also not in the weight of the product, but I'm very interested in the color of the device, because it will tell me if the manufacturer wanted to create a serious product or a product designed more for children. The color of this device is black, which makes me to think that this is a tablet computer destined to professionals.

Today is September 9, 2011 and the news related to the Android tablets refer to the fact that iBall will launch a tablet or at least this is what Times of India says, to the fact that HP TouchPad is going to be a tablet for productivity (or this is what The Express Tribune asks themselves and also asks us), some other news refer to the Android smartphones, not necessarily tablets, there is one particular article from International Business Times that speaks about the Amazon’s tablet and another one saying that Sony announces that they will release 2 Android tablets (good to know) and others.

It is true that I do not live in the United States, but in Europe, and I'm very surprised to see that every time I look for Android tablets on Google, without my will, I get to see only Indian Android tablets. I will start my presentation by mentioning the price of this product. The starting price is of $176.99 and you can buy this product from 6 stores or at least, this is what you are told on CNET. It is said that this product can be bought from 6 stores, but only 5 of them appear in the list. Who knows, maybe you have to click on some other button in order to see all 6 available stores that sell this product.

I know that I have presented this Android tablet computer before, this is why I will focus more on the prices that this tablet has. So, the first store that appears on CNET is buydig.com and for the price of this tablet computer there is of $179. As long as you want to buy the product from PC Connection Express, you will have to get out of your pocket $199.95. If you will click on See It, you will be redirected to the site of the seller. This is one of my reasons for which I have selected this application, from the large range of apps created for the GPS functionality of a tablet or of a smartphone.

The position provided by the satellites which are the source of this app is very accurate, no matter the speed with which you're going.
