Someone asked us what are the advantages of possessing an Android smartphone or a tablet. I don't want to be rude or something and I will come also with a question: are you nuts, are you out of this world? The Android devices and the Apple devices, being they portable or not that portable and here I'm talking about the laptops that use the Linux operating system which is at the base of Android, are some of the best inventions of our days and if you ask me about the advantages of using a mobile platform?

I will think that the question was asked in another manner, because I cannot believe that someone doesn't recognize the advantages and the benefits of using a mobile platform until today. So I will think that probably the question was asked in relation to the Apple platform, and this is most likely to happen. So I have searched on the Internet for some features that exist in the case of the Android devices and which are not present in the case of the Apple devices. And I have entered a site that is named lifehacker.com, where there are presented some Android features that are not present in the case of an iPhone.

Nothing that can be written in this article cannot make me to believe that an Android device is better than iPhone, because I don't believe that this is possible, since the iPhone device is the best electronic device ever created, in my opinion (and I don't even possess one). But I will enjoy reading the article and I would enjoy more to see the opinions of those that possess iPhones and Android devices. In fact, this is how my next article will look like. I will ask some of my colleagues if they prefer the iPhone and why they prefer it and also those that have the Android devices, why they prefer the Android devices. I must say that I don't have any work colleague that has both type of devices, because they are not that cheap, especially if you live in Europe, where there are a lot of taxes and fees that must be paid in order to get your products from the United States.

I have presented already the application that is named Handrite Note, but I would like to come back to it, because I have some other things to say about it. I have mentioned that the best moment to start using this application is the moment you realize that you have forgotten something at home and you are at a meeting where you cannot change anything. And I have presented to you the possibility of using the Android device that by the way must use Android 1.6 when you are in an important meeting room, where you don't have your laptop with you. But there are some other potential situations where this electronic device proves that it is great. You can imagine that you are at a lecture when you suddenly realize that you have forgotten your pen and pieces of paper. The best thing that you can do is to take out your Android device from the location where you kept it hidden and start using it. This is the solution you need when you are in situations like this. The problem is what will you do if you will you forget your Android device at home as well?

This application doesn't use a pen, just like other similar apps do, but instead of letting you to type notes, that will be transformed into handwriting notes, simply by tapping one button, you can use your finger to write the message that you want to transmit. In most of the cases, those messages will be sent to yourself. The problem is that when you use your finger, you will write not as fast as when you use a pen. This happens because we were not taught how to use our fingers in order to write and because we are more precise when we write using a pen.

It doesn't matter that you don't have too many books in your library; as long as you have an electronic device, such as an Android smartphone or tablet, you can improve your book collection that you have back home with the e-books that you can download from the Android Market. But not only with the books that you can download, but also with the applications, that can teach you a lot.

For example, I am very interested in the natural remedies that can help us maintain our health status and at the same time improve our health. This is why for today I have taken into consideration the next application: Natural Herbal Cures and Remedies, designed by KoolAppz. This application costs $1.50 and it was released in September 2011. If you enter Amazon, you will find this application as being in the first app in the list with applications related to natural remedies and cures. This app has 242.6 kB and the current version is 1.0 (which is obvious, taken into account that this app has just been released on market). The approximate time needed to download this app is about 10 seconds and the minimum operating system required by this application is Android 1.6.

I don't know any tablet computer or smartphone that doesn't have an USB port that allows you to connect it to another electronic device, in order to transfer information from that device to your tablet/smartphone or vice versa. Do you know any? If you do, please let me know, because I would love to see what is that mobile phone or tablet computer that doesn't use any USB port whatsoever.

Having this reason in my mind, I have searched on the Android Market site for some applications that allow you to use your USB capabilities. The first one that I have found is created by Droid.Apps and it is named to USB Tethering Free! USB Tether. This app allows you to enable the USB thethering in a blink of an eye. Before starting to use this application, make sure that the device with which you will use your smartphone/tablet can also use the USB capabilities and not only this; make sure that your notebook has installed the USB tethering driver. It is like when you want to use a printer or scanner with your notebook; before doing this, you have to install the driver that will allow your notebook to recognize your printer or scanner. Before using the USB tethering capability of your tablet, you must install the driver in your notebook.

I know, it may sound complicated, but trust me, it isn't. When your notebook is ready to use your tablet like this, the moment when you will connect them using the USB connectors, not the Wireless technology, for example, this app will automatically pop up. You know how Dell always recommends Microsoft Windows, and they do it for a good reason, because the Microsoft systems are very good; well, it seems that in the case of Dell Streak 7, they have made a collaboration with Android, because this tablet computer runs the Android 2.2 operating system, also known as Froyo.

If you enter the British version of the Dell.com site, you will see that this tablet computer has been reviewed as having 3 stars and a half, the price of a tablet like this being of 198.5 GBP. The LS is enhanced with the Over The Air Upgrade Capability. This is the first feature of this tablet computer that you see when you click on tech specs, in order to see the details of this product. The processor is manufactured by Nvidia (Tegra 2), the display has 7 inches, which makes this tablet computer the perfect mobile device, the screen mode is WVGA and the resolution provided by this tablet is the resolution provided by any other 7 inch tablet, 800×480. Here we are talking about capacitive multitouch screen, that comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass, a wonder of technology.

The processor is capable of running more applications or little programs at the same time, but I don't recommend you to stress the processor very much even from the beginning. When you buy an electronic device, first of all try to accommodate yourself to it and only when you know its capabilities, run multiple applications.

The processor of this tablet is manufactured by Nvidia, between Asus and Nvidia being a very strong collaboration. This processor is capable of reaching speeds as 1 GHz. The storage capacity that is on board is of 16 GB; the screen size of this device has 10.1 inches, this product being as I said before the most popular tablet computer running a 10.1 IPS capacitive multitouch screen; the tablet uses the integrated 802.11a/b/g/n standard, it uses also the Bluetooth 2.1 controls, it has a 5.0 MP rear facing camera and 1.2 MP web camera.

This is a very interesting tablet, not only because it benefits of the Wi-Fi technology, but because it presents several technical characteristics that cannot be found on other tablets. I will mention what are those when I will name them.

The aspect ratio is of 4:3, the screen mode being of SVGA. The screen resolution is of 800×600.
