Roll A Joint App For Android

Let's see a game that can be played on the Android mobile devices. You can see the name of this game in the title and you're probably interested in it, since you have entered this article.

The name of the game is Roll A Joint, the game being developed by FDP Games. This game is definitely dedicated to the touchscreen devices, not necessarily to the mobile devices. I believe that a game like this can be played on your notebook computer, as long as you have a touchscreen; nevertheless, this is a game created for the Android devices, not for PCs or MacBooks. The game begins with a little bit of weed, that comes in a big package, this is why it must be formed into little pieces. You can do this simply by tapping on the screen.

You will be notified that in order to break the bud, you have to tap on the screen. When you will hear a sound telling you that the bud has been correctly chunked into the needed number of pieces, you can move to the next level, if we can say this, the level being getting a sheet of paper, well not your regular paper, but a paper that can form a cigarette, and introducing the weed there. You can do this using your finger and using a software program that allows you to see the exact area where you have to place that weed. It is like when you watch a snooker match on TV and when the director shows you the exact position where the white ball, the red ball, the black ball must reach. On TV, the things do not happen like the director of that transmission wants all the time, but here if you don't manage to place the bud into the correct area, you will not be able to move to the next level. I must say that this “next level” is not exactly a level, but a new part of the game.

After you have placed the weed in the specified area, you have to press a button to start rolling the cigarette. You can roll the bottom of the sheet of paper using more fingers, if you have a multitouch screen device. You heard it right, this application supports the multitouch controls. Every time you manage to complete a level correctly, you will hear a specific sound. When you roll that cigarette or better said joint, as the name of the application tells us, at a certain moment, you will have to start rolling from the top as well.

Office Jerk For Android

If you work in a big company, most likely you know what it means to have a jerk always next to your side; if you work in a small company, made of just a few people, you have plenty of chances to not meet that jerk of which I am talking about. Nevertheless, for all the jerks in this world and for their colleagues mostly, Fluik has created an application that is named Office Jerk.

Here is how this application works: at first, you have to select your target, which is the office jerk, the person that everyone in your office or room hates. When you have localized that person and when you have sat on your chair comfortably enough to be able to throw a sheet of paper towards that person, being a she or a he, it is time to start to be creative. This application has a video presentation as well, presentation that I'm watching right now, which is made in the 70s or 80s way. But a sheet of paper that is not going to be used anymore is too light and it will not hit your target very well, this is why you have other choices, from pencils to cups of coffee, without the coffee inside and also I can see some others.

This application has 18 MB and in the last few days, it has been installed by more and more people. You need Android 2.1 in order to play this game, that has been updated the last time on August 13, 2011. This game was firstly created for the iPhone version of the mobile phones and only after this, for Android. The manufacturer of this game says that there are more than 7 million downloads for Office Jerk and this application is the number one iPhone app in 50 countries.

This is a paid application, but as long as you want the free version, you can get this from the Android Markets as well. Another application created by Fluik is the Rift Soul Calculator. This one seems pretty interesting and I will present it in one of my next articles. This app is included in the same category as games such as Paper Toss, SlimStapler, Paper Jet Light and others. This game can be played not only by adults that are annoyed by their work colleagues sometimes, but also by children. You should not let your children to play very much with your mobile devices, because they also need to play the old fashioned way, with the real toys and real people, not only virtual ones.

The applications created for the Android devices are divided into 2 big categories: paid apps and free apps. A free application that can be played on the Android 2.1 tablets and smartphones alike (in fact, if you have Android 1.6 and up, you can play this application without problems) is Memory Trainer. I am sure that you have played many memory games on the Internet, but I can assure you that this application is something that you have never seen before. And if you start to think, this application is not playable online, you can download it if you access the Internet, but the application is going to be played on your mobile device and only if you want to share the results that you have obtained with your friends, you can do this. This is not an application that can be played online. The things are a little bit different when it comes to the mobile devices and the apps that can be played here.

This application has been reviewed by more than 12000 gamers as having 4 stars. The maximum scoring that this application could have received is of 5 stars. This application doesn't require you to do anything special. You will require it to improve your memory skills. This application is going to help you to train your spatial and working memory; I had no idea that we, the humans, have a working memory. I thought that we have memory and this is it. But it seems that our memory is divided into more categories, same thing happening with the computers. After all, the computers have been created taking into consideration our own mind, which is our processor.

Recently it has been discovered that if you do a regular mental exercise, just like you do the physical exercises, you can greatly improve your memory. If you start to think once again, our brain is a muscle that has to be exercised daily. Memory Trainer will improve your memory, attention skills and chunking skills. You can start a new session, continue your last session, learn more about memory training and choose the workout session the way you want it. At the end of the exercise, you will see your progress.

Best Android Apps For Tablets

The best Android applications for tablets are in my opinion included in the Brain and Puzzle category. These ones are included into two main categories which are the top paid category and the top free category. Let's say some names of the apps that are included in the first category and then some of the titles included in the second category.

In the top paid category of applications, we can include the Cut the Rope app created by Zeptolab, Apparatus by Bithack, X Construction by Crossconstruct and Bejeweled 2. A very interesting application that I would like to describe is UNO, created by Gameloft, which is a top Android developer. This application costs around 2 euros. It has been downloaded by more than 100000 people, having a size of 7.3 MB. You need Android 1.1 or later in order to play this game. The game has a presentation video that shows you how to play the game and what are the instructions. These are presented also if you click on the link that directs you to the site from where you can download this application.

UNO is not necessarily a game that has been invented now; it is a classic card game during which you have to match the colors and the numbers again the computer or against your friends. The thing is you have to use only a single device. This is a good game to play at parties. You can select between 9 different rule sets and customize your mode of playing the game. If you have problems with the game, don't hesitate to contact the developer, because all the problems can be solved. Instead of making a bad review of the application, you better contact the manufacturer. This is a very interesting game and in my opinion this is not a game destined only to children, but to adults alike. I remember that I have played a similar game when I was a little girl, only that I have used classic cards, not mobile devices. In this way, you will teach your children the numbers and the colors. You don't have to use only the applications that use Flash cards, you can use a game like this to teach them what are the colors and how to recognize the signs written on the cards, in other words to see and learn the numbers.

The Motorola Xoom tablet should definitely be included in the Best Tablets category. Its price is of $499 and among the most interesting features of this tablet, I can name now the 10.1 inch screen, the 32 GB hard drive and the Wireless technology, that comes integrated in this tablet.

Motorola has redefined what having fun means: with this tablet you can connect to your friends, use one of the best operating systems that exist today, created especially for these mobile devices, the tablets, use a holographic user interface, widgets, customization tools, and in general the latest Google's innovations. The Motorola Xoom features the Android 3.0 platform, an Nvidia processor, it has support for Adobe Flash, it allows you to store information on 32 GB of internal memory (which can be upgraded if you use the microSD expansion slot), benefits of a battery that allows you to run this tablet up to 10 hours under normal operating conditions and it has a front facing camera, that has 2 MP and a rear facing camera, with 5 MP.

I want to talk more about the Android operating system, which now comes with full support for the Android Market Movie rentals service. This means that thousands of titles are now ready to be watched on this Motorola tablet. The widgets that were present on the previous versions of the Android systems can now be resized, to enable an even greater customization of the home screen. The Bluetooth features are expanded, so that the tablet to help those who want to use the headsets, for example, in Google Talk video chats. Also, now there is a Bluetooth mouse support. Another novelty brought by this operating system is the fact that you can transfer easier the photo files from this tablet to the computer, without using the drivers. This is achieved thanks to the Picture Transfer Protocol feature. Experience the power of the new Xoom by ordering it today!

Android Tablet Software

The Android tablets usually come equipped with the Android operating system. Nevertheless, there are sellers who may send the tablet without an operating system, because some of the users who buy such tablets, want to install Linux. My opinion is that, if you get an Android tablet, which has applications, games, other programs, and most importantly access to the Android Market, you should not miss the chance of using the OS as well. Strange or not, some users desire only the hardware, thinking that they can install one of the software programs that exist on market, such as the Linux operating system.

Android Tablet Software (Source: anddev.org)

Android Tablet Software (Source: anddev.org)

The Android software contains more than an operating system; it contains also middleware and key applications. Also, Android has all the necessary tools needed by a potential developer to create his own applications. The best applications framework is found in the Android software. Dalvik virtual machine is a part of this large software, which is optimized for mobile devices. Then, there is the WebKit engine, an open source software on which relies the integrated browser that comes along with any Android tablet that you buy. This is why I said at the beginning of the article: if you get an Android tablet, why in the world would you want to install another OS?

SQLite is a special program that allows the data storage to be better structured. The camera, compass and accelerometer are all of them connected to the main program, which is the Android software. If you will install another operating system, you will need to download drivers for all these hardware components, to make them work with the tablet. And trust me, it is not worth it.

But the best environment created by the Android software is not necessarily for the usual users, but for developers. They will find in this software a true friend, with tools for debugging, all sorts of plugins that will help them in developing applications, a device emulator and some libraries.

Android Tablet Apps

Android users can find applications for their mobile devices on the Android Market. They are divided in many categories, some of them being: the paid and free categories, the Featured category, the Trending category, the Best Selling Games, the Arcade Games category and so on. Some of the best apps that you can get from the Android Market for your tablet or smartphone, depending on what you own, are found in the Editor’s Choice category.

Because today we will discuss only about Android tablet apps, I will mention some of the most popular Android applications of the moment. These app are highly recommended by the Android staff. Air Attack HD is the first of them, application created by Art in Games. The purpose of this game is easy, destroy all the enemies while you are on your coffee break. This may seem easy, but the game will require a lot of skills from you. Another popular game for the Android tablets is the Angry Birds Rio application, developed by Rovio Mobile Ltd.

Levelup Studio is the creator of the third app recommended by Android: Beautiful Widgets. This app allows you to check the weather in your region by looking at the screen of your tablet. I like very much how they put it: “the weather never looked so cool”. Cordy is a little robot that stopped at the fourth position in our list. The Cordy application is developed by Silvertree Media. What I can say about this app is that it has some incredible graphics controls and at the same time, the 3D elements make the robot to find its place in your house. Or at least, this is the impression that you will have when playing the game. The robot gets out of the screen and enters the room; in all this time you don’t have to wear special glasses.

The last app I mention here in this article is Endomondo Pro, an app designed by Endomondo. This is a sports tracker application, that allows you to have a personal trainer, without the well-known personal trainer prices.
