I think that you have not expected the Huawei phones to be transformed into tablets. You know that this type of phones is usually used by the phone companies, which even offer them for free, just to make you collaborate with them, thus to sign a contract, in which you will receive along with that free phone, 500 free minutes, but only in their network, or 1000 minutes, depending on the data plan that you select.

Many people have accepted these phones and now apparently is the time of the tablets. If they would offer me a free tablet, I would surely renew my contract with the phone company. Unfortunately, I know that you can’t call someone if you have a tablet. I mean the tablet does not have a feature that allows you to listen the other person or a microphone that is ready to be used as a phone microphone.

The tablet might have a mike inserted, but this is not a mike for calling. The Huawei Ideos S7, the white model, which is available on the BestBuy site, is a very cheap tablet. This is the advantage of the Huawei products. They come cheap and they offer a very good performance. Maybe the characteristics cannot be compared to the ones coming from the iPad, for example, but the price is definitely much more attractive.

Along with the tablet, you will receive its Li-ion battery, because it is not included in the tablet (you will need to install it by yourself), an AC adapter, an USB cable and the user’s manual. There is also a headset, if you want to listen the music without disturbing others, or maybe when you talk to someone using Google Voice perhaps or Skype.

The processor runs on 1 Ghz. It allows you to stay connected, because after all, this is the main purpose of a tablet, as well of a laptop. when you need portability, you get one of these devices. When you need no portability at all, you get a desktop. The desktops, slowly but surely start to disappear from the world of computers, thing that makes me happy, because I like more the laptops. But the future belongs to tablets. We will see this in about 10 years, when the desktops probably will be gone for good.11

Among the applications that are created for the Android platform, I thought that is a good idea to name one application that is trending today, on May 17, 2011, and to describe it a bit, so that you could form an opinion about what the Android users are looking for. iBaby is the application that I wanted very much to present because I know that are many moms interested in this kind of application.

Basically, what this app does is to keep a track of your baby’s activities. The activities of a small child can start from nursing, or from feeding the baby with a bottle, if the baby has more than 4 months of drinking only the maternal milk, you can see when the baby needs to “go to the toilet” to say so, and when he was last time, the app shows you when the baby slept and for how long the baby slept and so on.

I don’t know what application to present first. I have already presented Tourality, which is truly the application for which I would buy an Android-based device, just to play this game, but I have to get one to my friend and another one for my other friend and so on. That is a game that is played in a team and all the members of the team must have the application installed on their smartphones, so.. it is a bit expensive if you lack the hardware.

The next app is more individualistic created, if I can say this, because with a single touch, you can share your location with your friends. I know, they also must have smartphones and this app installed, which by the way, is free, but this does not imply that you need to collaborate with them in order to reach to a certain point, like you do in Tourality.

Believe it or not, this application is much more popular than the other one, because it has been downloaded by more than 5000 people. If you remember correctly, Tourality was installed by only 1000 people. These are the data that appear on the Android Market site. The manufacturer is Creative Workline.

I will present all their apps, because I simply love this producer, because they had this great idea of inventing the video games that can be played outside. I don’t know if there were others before them who had this idea, but I only heard of them and if I did hear only of them, it means that they are the best in what they do.

With this app, One Touch Location, sharing the location is an easy job, even for those who do not really use their smartphones, for other thing, than to talk on the phone. You can discover a whole new world, if you just enter the Android Market site, which is filled with interesting applications. We are told that the app runs perfectly on iPhone as well, so don’t despair if you don’t have an Android-based device. The category in which this app is included is Travel and Local.11

How to publish apps on Google? Well, this is not the most complicated task in the world. In my opinion, it is more complicated to develop the apps that are really popular or have the potential of becoming indeed extremely popular among the rest of the apps that are present in the Android Market, and I am telling you, there are thousands.

Android has known the most spectaculous development in the last year, thanks to the popularity of the Android devices. Sometimes, the hardware took in front of the software, situation which does not happen when it comes to iOS, which is filled with great apps. Of course, we don’t have to mention anymore that the applications just named are on the best hardware devices ever created, iPhone, iPad and iPod.

If you click on the next link, you will be directed to the Publish page of the Android site. You will be requested to use your username and password that you have on Google. If you don’t have a Google account yet (what world do you live in?), you will be invited by Google to sign in and then to access your developer account based on that Google account. Once you get registered on the Google Android market as a member, you have the control over your own applications. You select if you want them to be distributed for free or not and so on. You select in what countries the app to be available, you choose when the updates to be released, you choose the language in which the app will be released and many, many features. You are the only one responsible for what happens to your applications. If you work in a team, it would be preferrable to have different passwords than your colleagues. This system works pretty much like any other multiple application or programs offered by Google, mainly more like Docs, where the files can be accessed and why not modified by users, but the updating can be done only by the doc’s admin or something like that. You set the conditions.11
